Reflexology Treatment

What happens during a reflexology treatment?

The first reflexology treatment begins with a full consultation including your medical history, health and lifestyle. This will establish your treatment needs and the reflexology session will be tailored to suit you.

Next follows a warm up foot massage and then the reflexology treatment, where specific reflexes are worked. During the whole treatment it is just your feet that are massaged, so you remain fully clothed. Only socks and shoes are removed. You will lie on a massage couch, be made comfortable, and offered a cosy blanket, should you feel cold.

The session will end with a relaxing foot massage. Soft music will play in the background, a few candles will burn, and you will completely relax, perhaps even fall asleep, and fully embrace the hour of relaxation and self-indulgence.

How will I feel after a reflexology treatment?

Most people feel relaxed and have a sense of wellbeing after reflexology.

Reflexology may be effective for:

  • Joint pain
  • Stabilizing digestion
  • Headaches/migraines
  • Sinus problems
  • Hayfever
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Strengthening the immune system
  • Pain relief
  • Sleep disorders
  • Stress and stress-related conditions
  • Detoxifying the body
  • Maintaining balance in all systems of the body

Is Reflexology only for those who have a specific illness or condition?

You do not need to have an illness or condition in order to benefit from Reflexology. It can be beneficial for relaxation, relieving stress and creating a deep feeling of wellbeing. A sense that the whole mind-body system is better balanced and in harmony.
